Word of caution. NEVER open the fill cap to release the pressure with it still lit. I witnessed this and it was ugly. She basically naped herself, caught her hair on fire and got pretty badly burned. If you must get it out, take the lid and glass out, knock the mantle off and snuff it with a wet rag. Now you can bleed the pressure off.
Not sure about valve rebuilding but I have never replaced a generator yet on any of my coleman stoves or lanterns. When they have plugged, I soak them in my pail of carb cleaner for an hour, blow out with compressed air and presto. Works great. Many an old Coleman gets thrown away when all it needs is a little lovin'
In the army, all we ever used in our Colemans was regular unleaded gasoline. That was pre-ethanol days but it burned just fine and was a hellofalot cheaper than that naptha campstove fuel.
