OT-anyone ever rebuild a coleman lantern

ok so i dusted off the coleman dual-fuel lantern last night to see if it still worked after no use for 3 years.

in fact it lit right up.... the problem is that i could not get it to turn off.

apparently there is something wrong with the valve (single knob style) it continues to leak gas and will surge and sputter no matter how many times or how hard i shut the valve.

ya think this has a packing nut that could be loose?
