I don't believe a Spitfire head was ever offered on the 236. What I am going to do if I can get off my lazy a.. is install a 236 Industrial IND-7 in my WC-12 along with a 241 Spifire head. The 241 spifire head has a smaller bore than the desoto head, thus you increase the compression ratio just by changingb heads. Also the 236 has the shortest stroke of all the 25" motors. You really can rev them up. Some have said the 236 is the best of the 25" motors you can install in a military Dodge. I don't know about that but, I'm going to give it a try.
