Military is 1/2" iron pipe thread. I believe civilian is 1/4", but could be 3/8" I think all are standard pipe thread. The kind with the bulb uses a pipe-thread collar with a straight thread sleeve that clamps the flange on the bulb, if memory serves. I could go check. Whichever kind you have, it's easy enough to adapt, although putting a military sensor in a civilian head pretty much requires pulling the head to drill and tap it to the larger size.
