If you're serious about auto work one of the most enabling purchases you can make is a good air compressor. Probably the best purchase I've made in my shop was the 80-gallon 2-stage compressor. Almost never have to worry about if I have enough air to do anything I want.
I'd only worry about the name on the air tools once you don't have to worry if you have enough air to run them.
