Cylindrical parts can be bent over pipe. And bent lips over the edge of a steel bench top.

The fender repair piece for this repair first had the ends bent perpendicular and edges rolled. Then laid over a couple spaced 2x4s on the driveway and a rubber mallet brought the curve in to match the fender's cylindricalness.

Hmm, time to post a couple pics of some home made press breaks. One died Vees with a hydrailic jack, the other does 3" raduius bends with a fire hose as a pneumatic bladder.

Bit I do think hand held english wheel might have made an easier job of fixing the dented cab on my blue truck.
