First time was just before the snow hit us last fall. Regulator failed. Cooked the battery and a few dash wires, too. No gages, running lights or heater fan, but it was still a driver.
Second time was more like Mac's. It was in January, in between snows, on the interstate, below zero and while pulling my VF home to our new house. I got it put out (with snow) before it did too much damage, but it's not a driver anymore.
I'm still hoping to swap the diesel into my crewcab, though.
