You installed the seal backwards. Next time install them with the lip facing in. Also, when installing do not hammer them in. Use a large c-clamp with a back-up plate or a piece of threaded rod going through the hub with some steel plates to pull the in. I found that when you bang on them with a hammer the shock can dislodge the spring that wraps around the seal.
