I have only worked on one big lathe and the apron wsa bolted to the bed. coudl you possibly just drill the pins completely out and go with a bolt together set up? It sfunny you bring this up as I spent friday through sunday disassmbling, cleaning and reassembling a friends 100 year old American Tool Works 14 inch Lathe. never done one before it was a learning experience. got it working nicely just need to get a bigger electric motor. the 1.5 horse just doesnt cut it
