I thought that mod was only cosmetic to make the pad sit lower on the rotor and was optional? Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think it has anything to do with initial fitment? Anyway, I can't even get them over the rotor.
However, I did read about sanding the outside pad with a disc or belt sander if it is too thick. I thought sanding pads was a no no? I'm not interested in doing this anyway. There has to be a fix.
