That is what I have on a scout. It is a VR10000 with the synthetic rope. I like the weight savings for a light duty vehicle like the scout and it will most likely only be used for recovery. I think for a heavier application like a power wagon where weight is not much of a concern and it might get used for utility (log skidding or such) the cable would be more durable. By weight savings I mean both for the truck and for me hauling line up a rocky trail! Cable seems to wind on the drum nicer also.
