P25-243001 looks to be the start of the 230ci engines. The parts book does not explicitly say 218 and 230, but it has a note of major change that involves the crank so I'm guessing that is the displacement change.

I should verify that and update the list on the T137 page.

If you use the plug at the back of the block you can check the stroke to verify your engine is a 218. 4 3/8 vs 4 5/8 stroke.

As for making your engine a 230 all you need is the correct pieces, but there are a lot of different cranks with a different number of bolts to mount the flywheel so you'll need to make sure you get one that interchanges with your current setup. Or just find a later 230 as they make a little more power anyway.
