I agree with you Dan however these rotors were originally designed to be sandwiched between the hub flang and the wheel with eight lug/lug nuts. So when I say support I mean keeping the rotor flange flat and parallel with the actual surface where the pads contact. I have no doubt that the bolts are more than strong enough for the job. It's the area of the rotor flange immediately around each bolt. The chord length increases with only four bolts allowing more room for the rotor flange to flex between fasteners. Each time you hit the brakes, that load is transferred to that rotor. All that loading and unloading eventually will fatigue the material. That rotor really should be "captured" between two other surfaces like a sandwich.
