I tracked down the black Town Panel from the Black Dog Salvage show and had made plans to go up and take a look this afternoon. Instead I spend my time trying to broker a 97 Infiniti I30 with moderate front end damage and 300k miles. The local yards had limited interest at $200.

My lovely wife, who grew up driving old ford trucks on the farm and restoring John Deere two cylinder tractors asked me to wait to visit the yard until she could come along...hopefully with her checkbook!

She is after me to paint the 62 Town Wagon, /6 NP420, 3.55 flange axle sure-grip with holley 2300, super six manifolds, shaved door latches, full aftermarket gage panel and such into University of Tennessee Orange with Cream trim for UT football and tailgating next fall...Maybe it is time to paint over the sky blue metallic with silver metallic trim.

But before you look down on me as a shameless hot rodder, and not a restorer, the 62 M37 is probably 95% original aside from Grip Spur tires, an electric fuel pump and conventional batteries.

The 68 Uteline still has the original LA318 and 727 with dash shifter, 3.90 sure grip and black and white paint job, it does have a holley, headers, glasspacks and stage 1 intake.

So, a decent TP would be most welcome up here to play with.
