Looks like an interesting endeavor, but there's nothing I could see there resembling pulling a main vent tube. I am going to try to drill out a small piece of stainless steel tubing to slip over the vent tube and hopefully grab it tight enough to pull out. So far all I've accomplished is drilling the tube up to just prior to the final size and then breaking a bit off in it. Try again. Copper tubing is too soft, and I don't have any mild steel that size.
