I did not do this swap for 2 reasons: (1) the Cummins 6 cylinder engine block and radiator combination is longer than the W300 engine compartment, and (2) the 4.88 gears in the Dana 70 axles are too high numerically for crusing the interstates with a diesel engine and are expensive to replace (numerically lower gear sets may require different axle housings). I have done nothing other than conclude a 360 or 440 engine swap would be the easiest and most cost effective way to repower my '68 W300. I remain very interested in how you solve these problems and the final cost of your solutions, so please keep us posted on your progress. And good luck! I hope you succeed so I can follow.
