You guys might not be aware what fuel costs in Sweden: a lot! I'd also think about diesels not available in N. America. there are Mazda and Nissan ~3.5L six cyls in 1-2 ton trucks that are short enough, and the Toyota 14B found in the Dyna 300 and 400 would be excellent, especially with an aftermarket turbo (3.66L, 96 hp NA, 140 turbo, 177 ft-lb NA, 240-250 ft-lb with turbo). With any of these motors a manual transmission would be best, at least a 5spd.
