It would be different, all right. I wouldn't do it, but it's your truck.

However, a suggestion. If the cab on the WDX is rust and damage free, it is worth a fair amount to someone with a rotten cab. With some wheeling and dealing, you might be able to get enough to get a project you don't have to make a hybrid out of, like an M43 or ?

BTW, what exactly is wrong with the WDX that you cannot complete it intact?
