I'm not sure if data that was once published in service manuals and other auto literature, is now available or listed? Your failure to understand how hp could be retrieved by eliminating the hp robbing engine driven waterpump and fan suggest, you have never seen this data about net and gross hp ratings in which the lost hp from tuning fan and waterpump is listed. The resistence from the impeller in water and the fan pulling air
robs approx. 5-10hp. If it didn't save hp,why would performance catalogs sell and racers and street rodders use them? Besides the alt. resistance from electrical draw from these motors is far less than the friction resistance of the engine driven waterpump and fan.
If someone could please explain it better, please do, so the gentleman can better understand what happens every time something is added and driven by the engine or eliminated from being driven by the engine. Its late,I'm tired, and I lack the mental energy at this moment to explain it better myself. It was a simple suggestion to help save 5-10hp which I believe could be accomplished using these items.Your never too old to learn something new.
