flat towing a junker 3 hours from home is risky. Done it a lot but never again.
So many things that can go wrong - most not insurmountable with tools and time, but who wants to fix a hung up brake on the side of the road.
My dad almost wrecked pulling my "ran when parked" '56 ihc s-120 with a tow bar. Pulled and steered ok for most of the afternoon, but turned out that the kingpin cap/steering arm studs were stripped. Couldn't tell looking at it. Driver's side front wheel turned sideways and even at 20 mph just about threw the back of the D200 off the road.
