Thanks. I just measured mine and it's 5/64ths as well. That gives a fuel level 1/2" down from the top. Looks low to me, but there's no gas in the float, so I guess it's right. This one's got me puzzled. The carb is clean inside, and I'm pretty sure I rebuilt it when I got it, although I've lost track of which carbs and fuel pumps I've rebuilt and which I haven't. I may get the NAPA kit and rebuild it again just to be sure, but with no sign of varnish or dirt in the bowl and the fuel level correct, it seems strange that it won't idle without some choke on, even when warmed up. I wonder about the fuel pressure, because after sitting for a long time, it tends to not fill the bowl until I take the top off and manually un-stick the inlet valve, which is never really very sticky. I just know I don't want to head up into the hills with it like this, having to use more and more choke all the time to keep it running.
