The guides are made of malleable steel and should bend a little, if that's what's causing the problem.
I would adjust whatever's causing the problem,the frame or the guides. Why change something (the drum)that's the way it's supposed to be. The front horns of the frame are easy to bend on these trucks, and not too hard to straighten out, if need be.
