I did the same thing as you in 1989 with my '57 w-200 brake system. The truck has sat for years, sometimes under cover, some out in the weather, but the brakes always were good to go. My only problem was about every 4-5 years, the stop light switch would fail as the fluid would get past what ever seal it used. I just put another switch in, and all was well again.
