Running a die down them won't help, as there's just not enough material to recreate threads the original size. I have a spare offset rear that could be sacrificed for the housing end and spindle, but the nearest place to do the fabrication is four hours away. I got the centered rear for $250 (more than fair), but got screwed over on shipping by the carrier ($407), so I have $650+ in a rear that's not useable without major surgery. The guy I got it from said he had a WC62 one I could have, but the perches would need welded and I'm not in a situation at the moment to throw R&L Carriers another ridiculous amount of money to ship it, anyway. The rear hadn't been apart before I got it, so it's no fault of the guy I got it from- I'm not mad in the slightest about that. It's unfortunate, crap happens, but if I have $1000+ in just a carrier-less centered rear, I'm just plain stupid. I have a matched set of Danas I could have swapped into the truck, with gears and custom hubs for the stock bolt pattern for that much. I'm frustrated... thanks for letting me vent and responses.
