ya I have been following the development of the pentastar V6 for years. They spent years just working on it before it was released a couple eyars ago. Triginaly called Phoenix. It makes lots of HP and torque. And it has NO brackets! all accesories bolt directly to the block. Also no exhaust manifolds. just a huge opening where the pipe bolts on. hopefully the head can take the heat of not having a manifold. a similar GM straight 6 design did not work out well back in the day. But i think the length of the GM 6 head was what caused the cracking problems.
My next car might be a mopar with the penta star. 32 plus mpg in cars. some with over 300 HP
