Ok got my new shims from quad 4x4 I'm determined to accomplish this. seems petty but its really kicked my ass the last couple times.
Ok so ...You want no forward and back play nor do you want side by side play. This is accomplished by shims and in laments terms taking out the slack by raising the bearing inside the case. Now do you add as many shims as you can get before it won't slide into position to have the pin drove though? Meaning you want as little gap as possible before you pin it or do you need a little slack?
