Years ago I worked in a Harley shop for this old dude who was one smart cookie.
I built a '53 Panhead for myself in his shop.
Was running 6 volt system. He told me to run a extra grounding wire from just behind the frame neck to the base of the triple tree just under the headlight mount.
My 6 volt headlight was so bright everyone thought I was running a 12 volt system.
I never forgot that idea.
