If you are lucky and someone hasn't hacked the wiring to death, you may be able to save the original harness or use it for a starting point.
The original copper will probably still be O.K. It's usually the fabric insulation on the exposed wiring that deteriorates the most.
I've seen where someone mounted the original harness of a 4'X8' sheet of plywood with nails and then duplicated the layout with new wiring.
It all depends on whether you just want to just get it running, make it dependable, or totally restore it. But, I wouldn't spend much money on wiring until you get the rest of the truck sorted out.
