If you really want to seal your new space have it foamed with a 1/2" of spray foam then use unfaced batts covered with 3 mil poly. I've found that most insulation contractors here can do it better AND cheaper than you can buy insulation to do it yourself. 41 years experience in construction I never fooled with insulation unless I really had to.
