Power ports

I installed this past summer two power ports in the side of my glove box(inside) the box is one of the steel boxs that VPW sells. I still have the generator and voltage regulator, points and condenser. now the problem: the ports will not work my wyfes cell phone charger, the little led indicator light comes on but no charge, works in my 01 cummins and works in her jeep liberty but not the power wagon, anyone know why? Dave.
