To build out the infrastructure. It would have been no different the first time they had to run power or phone out to these rural locations.

A company won't do it because the return on investment isn't big enough in the short term, but like the railroads with the right incentives companies will build it.

Now there's fiber there and more houses and more areas can be built out over time. Have to start somewhere.
