I measured the bore difference at the top and bottom using both the piston skirt to wall measurement as well as the ring gap at top and bottom. I think that the former is going to be a more accurate representation.

I used feeler gauges looking to get about the same amount of resistance against the piston skirt at the top and bottom. I did it on both axes and came up with I would say no-more then 0.002 difference (in the range of 0.014+/- on the short side of the piston).

The ring was harder to measure because the gap was so large - I had to stuff nearly 1/3 of the feeler gauges in there at the same time, so I don't have too much confidence in this one, but as best I could tell there wasn't much difference.

So overall I believe that my cylinder bores have about 0.005 wear, the pistons are right on 3.290 and the taper over the length of the cylinder is 0.002.

I'm going to tell my wife that I'm going ring shopping and see how she reacts...

Thanks very much to all!
