Yeah, it's funny. They used to always mention it on the radio and TV. Haven't heard anything. Nothing on CNN or MSNBC either. Fox has a tiny filler article about it.

Maybe it has to be this way, or we'd still be re-fighting all our old wars. But I grew up on my dad's war stories (B17 Navigator) about bombing the ball bearing factory in one place and the synthetic oil plant somewhere else, and hearing everyone talk about what they were doing when they heard about the attack and what they did to help the war effort. Even my grandmother scolded me when I bought a "Jap car".

I'm glad we're at peace with Japan now. I don't think it does any of us any good to hold grudges, much less kill each other over what your great-granddad did to my great-granddad (like they're still doing in the middle east), but it still seems like we should remember. Pearl Harbor Day just doesn't seem to "live in infamy" any more.
