I once spun the bearings in a truck . I moved the motor forward enough to drop in another crank and then used loctight on the bearing shells . motor ran rediculous well with gobs of power for another 65,000 miles . But it sure was not a motor I would pass on to anyone else... Yes it was all done in the truck and the oil pan did not want to come out.
