some are dealer installed with WC axles and t-case, but that conversion is on the light duty trucks.
I would be inclined to use heavier components and keep the running boards on the truck.
It all boils down to how you intend to use it and what your tastes are. Easy enough to hang a divorced t-case, installed the axles, and mod the driveshafts.
