I put a dodge 440 and 427 into my ffpw. Did lots of cutting, welding and problem solving. Only had to move the firewall less than one inch. I'm guessing the 7.3 and 440 can't be that different in size. If you have a shop, tools, welder and heat, about three years, give it a shot.
