Wayneth is correct ZD9 is the part number for the IDI glow plugs. Change them as a set, I believe NAPA number GP104 is the Glow plug relay. There are only two brands to by Motorcraft or IH. DO NOT buy any other brand GP. Even so, make sure they say "Beru" etched on the side of the body. Every other brand of glow plug will eventually have the tips swell and then you have to pull the heads to extract them. I have been down this road more times than I ever care to admit to with people buying Autolite, Bosch, etc. brand GP and it is bad news.
Powerstroke (1994.5 and newer) turbos and mounts are very difficult to retrofit onto an IDI engine. In 1994 Ford did offer a turbo version of the ID but production was limited. Hypermax Engineering has done a lot of performance mods for the IDI engines and has a good reputation for reliability. Stay away from Banks.
Drain, flush, and replace the coolant with Caterpillar brand ELC coolant. It's a long term coolant and has all the anti cavitation additives you need without having to do periodic coolant testing. Use high quality filters; Raycor, Baldwin, Wix, NAPA Gold, Fleetguard, Luberfiner, Hastings, Motorcraft. Good oil; Rotella-T, Delo, to name a couple.
The IDI engines were not power houses in stock form but they were as reliable as the day is long.
