I have a 241 Red Ram in a '51 B3. My PW trany bolted up to the hemi bell, but the input shaft was too short. There are adapters made for modern bell housings, if that is a direction you want to go. Get the book 'The Complete Chrysler Hemi Engine Manual' by Ron Ceridono. It will have a lot of information on your 270. Also, Hot Heads is a good source for parts.
