My understanding is that the term Power Wagon was coined by the GIs, and picked up by Dodge during/after the war. A friend of mine was infantry in Vietnam and refers to my M37 as a PC (personnel carrier). As said by others before, I consider the M37 a first cousin to the Power Wagon. The civilian "Power Wagons" are in name only, which I refer to as W100s, W200s, etc.
