Tall and narrow are always better in snow, in my opinion. Unless they are about 24" wide and 2 ply side walls. My experience with wide tires is they will spin on the snow and turn it into ice. And I don't particularly want to have to put chains on all the time. This is my gripe with the tire industry. My '06 Dodge needs 17" minimum wheels. Everything out there is made for the Calif. boys who spend their time on the freeways. If they are off road it's because they are parking on someone's lawn because the party is overcrowded and there are no parking spaces left.
