Seems to be the current thinking, but I always use permatex hard setting on both surface. If you have to pull it again you trash the gasket, but how often do you pull it apart? Once I do one, I figure it will last longer than me, it won't leak, or wobble like it can with rtv and I don't give any thought to pulling it apart again.
