OT - Claw Foot Bathtubs

Sorry for the OT post but we seem to have a lot of knowledge here on the forum and I thought I would see if anyone has restored an old claw foot tub. I remodeled the bathroom about 5 years ago and all my new stuff is going bad. Cracks and stuff. Tired of it and want to go back to old skool. Plenty of claw foot bathtubs out there. Some are original and ready to simply be moved in and hooked up for 300$ range while others out there need to be redone for 80$-100$. In researching the redone project there are companies out there that redo the tubs. I believe they put a new porcelain coating on the inside but they can be rather expensive. I have read that there is a tub restore kit using epoxy paint for the inside with great results.

Wondering if anyone has done this and what the encountered along the way..........
