"No, I used the standard steering, just a 1.5 ton '46 Dodge RHD truck steering box mounted in the holes on the right frame rail and swapped the link from the left hub to the right. Interesting that the 1.5 ton uses the same pitman arm as the PW. I was talking about reinforcing the front of the frame. Mine was bent (everywhere) and I didn't have a winch or extensions, but wanted some extra length at the front for 9" driving/spot lights. I used a piece of an International chassis with cross-member attached to bolt on to the extension holes and mounted the front bumper to it. Unless you look real close, it looks factory and gives me a nice mounting area for the lights. I think with an OE type winch you would struggle to get clearance though.
