Speaking of parts stores, I blew a brake line on my 95 Cummins a couple of weeks ago. Happened to be at Tractor Supply across the street from Advance Auto. Drove the truck over there in granny gear and went in to see about some fittings to block that line in order to get home. Store clerk was helping me look for fittings. They actually had a good selection but he kept looking in the pipe fittings drawer and couldn't understand why nothing fit. I tried to tell him he needed to be in the inverted flare fittings and brake line adapter fittings drawers. He gave up and said I needed to go to NAPA. Told him I couldn't make it to NAPA and if he didn't mind I would look through the fittings a little more and see if I could find something. Found two fittings within a couple of minutes and put them on the truck. Drove home with one front brake and two rear brakes. I sure am thankful to not be helpless in such situations.
