230 flat head six flywheel

What is the Application difference between the 146 tooth flywheel and the 172 tooth flywheel?
Is one 6 volt and the other 12 volt?
I compared two Flywheels removed from WW2 3/4 ton trucks and need to use one in a six volt weapons carrier.
I compared two starters and they look similar but have different tooth count.
Can someone shed some light on the proper application of the two flywheels?
