Regarding the tires, I too looked long and hard for XZL's and finally found some through Craigslist. Anyway, they are unobtainium now.
I asked several times on here if anyone knew of a "radial" tire in either 9.00x16 or 11.00x16 that could be purchased in the USA. Nothing but crickets. Apparently, no radials exist in these sizes, just the usual NDT's or other bias ply tires. This was before the Chinese option. So, it appears that they are the ONLY option for a radial tire now.
I may have opted for them over the XZL's I purchased, had they existed, and saved a lot of money. I will purchase them next time if another comparable option doesn't exist, and I'll be thankful for them.
