I have spent long hours calling all the leads I have for XZL's including a couple in Canada. The usual suspects cannot get them.
Today I called a friend in the Netherlands he cannot get them.
Bottom line I have heard the argument over buying from our enemies or our perceived enemies.
I am sorry to say but we have been getting shoved for years against our will into a global market.
Hey those people we gave our permission to make decisions for us shut down the Space Shuttle and the Russians, French and Chinese are taking our birds up to orbit for NASA who is effectively grounded.
It is American big business that has gone off shore and it is the tax code that the politicians refuse to fix that creates the loop holes that keeps the manufacturing off shore and it will stay that way as long as the big unions and politicians invest their pensions off shore.
You might say how can I say that well I worked as an IT VP in a large software company in Silicon Valley.
I am also a former employee of Big Blue.
Who just tore the largest manufacturing plant in the world down in San Jose Ca.
California is run by several women- Nance, Babs and Di and a whipped wimp named moonbeam. Did they stop any of the Large Silicon Valley companies from going off shore and save thousands of jobs of course not. Where did Lenovo come from? Do you know they trade on the Red Chips market? Want to buy a IBM Stinkpad or PC now?
With that said lets get back to the issue is there a tire solution for our trucks that's made in America? what we are looking for is an affordable Radial tire that is streetable and will work on the old rims preferably a 900x16.
Yellow Sea Tires are regroveable they are not recaps.
Sorry for the soap box but this issue is something I take personal because I have had to IRIF - Involuntary reduction in force more people than I care to mention, many good friends over the years and it still haunts me.
