Mike, I can't disagree with most of what you say in your mail. The sad truth is, we are priced out of our own market.The Chinese can still make them affordably, but their manufacturing costs are also rising, and we Americans may soon be sourcing our tires from India or somewhere else, where the labor is cheap.
Thats just the way it is in this world.
Here's one more factoid: The cold war is over. We won. The Russians and Communist Chinese have all been converted into Capitalists. In fact, they are damn good at it, improving out products and selling them back to us. Smart.
You don't have to love it, but its the reality.And their products are usually great, its not some guy banging stuff together in his backyard. Their industry uses the best machinery available.
We Americans wanted this, you remember, just a couple of decades ago.
