I have a '99 Nissan Navara 4x4 with the same p/s box in it. I'm running 30" tires and haven't had any problems with it. BUT I think putting it on a heavier truck with much bigger tires would probably kill it. I think you need to get a p/s box out of a similar weight truck to safely do what you want. While I'm not familiar with the vehicles you have there, any of the jap trucks up to about 2 ton range should do the job. Have a good look at the steering geometry on one of those and see what you can adapt. Just my thoughts.
