Three weeks ago the Santa Rosa Calif. Firestone shop quoted me $955.99 each for 1100x16 XZL. Not including tube, flap mounting, shipping, tax and whatever else adds to the deal. There's probably a disposal fee too. He didn't reveal his source. Said they were new. I said I couldn't afford them. He gave my kid some candy and we cordially parted ways.

He also quoted me 5 modern 235/85r16 mud traction tires on sale out the door for $1200. That seemed like an okay deal, except they are 32" diameter tires. They look good on a jeep FC, but not an m-37.
